Hope has two beautiful daughters. Their names are anger and courage; anger at the way things are, and courage to see that they do not remain the way they are.
About our Practice
Our practice is a reflection of our deepest convictions and questions about life, relationships and God. We believe that the questions and struggles provoked by curiosity and hope offer us a way through the confusion (never dispelled but courageously entered) toward a richer taste of our truest selves and deepest joy.
We see little distinction between our "work and our play, our labor and our leisure" and hope to bring others closer to the God who created them for the richest happiness possible. We believe that the deepest changes in our hearts are brought about not by the accumulation of principle or the application of technique but by the unusual, disruptive process that results in hard won wisdom, and reserved for those who are willing to hope deeply, to walk courageously and to love recklessly.
Practically speaking, our offices are a quiet place where good work can be done in the context of what we see as our sacred calling. We see our clients most weekdays and a few evenings during the week. Except for counseling intensives, we generally do not schedule appointments on the weekends.
