Seminars and Groups
Mike and Jeanenne both offer seminars, classes, and small group opportunities on a number of topics. These events can be a profound means to have your thinking stirred toward being more deeply connected to your heart and the art of living with conviction, strength, and joy. All seminars are relationally focused and meant to provoke thought and longing in the areas they cover. They vary somewhat in style but typically include teaching, discussion, and personal interaction with the material presented. Some groups are much more personally intensive in nature than others, that is, they assume a certain level of personal transparency with others in the group and can be painful in the discussion of personal stories and in the offering of feedback to one another.

The Courage of a Man

“I will take the ring, though I do not know the way.”
For anyone who has read or seen The Fellowship of the Ring, you probably remember the moment when Frodo utters those desperate, hopeful words. In a moment, all is cast forth to what might be and only could be accomplished by one so unlikely, with such great courage. It is the turning point of the story and you know that what lay ahead “stands upon the edge of a knife”.
From the very beginnings of our lives, we men know that our most defining and potentially hopeful moments are those in which we are engaged in some kind of a fight. It may be a fight against something hard and dark or it may be a fight for something life giving and hope altering. Either way, more often than we realize, we are in desperate need of courage - the courage to engage, the courage to die for another, the courage to pursue goodness in the midst of so much temptation toward those places in life where we are promised easy distraction or soul numbing deadness.
The Courage of a Man is a small group opportunity for men exploring the nature and necessity of courage in a world where easy passivity, crippling fear, and numbing deadness seem to prevail. This small group (eight participants) will focus on our stories, our God-design, and the fight in which we are all engaged. The nature of the group will be very personally intensive as we teach, listen and speak into one another's lives. Join us and seek what God intended for your masculine soul.
Schedule: Sept. 14 - November 9, Monday eve., 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm, 10 weeks.
Cost: $500.00. 1/2 due one week before group begins, balance may be paid out over the length of the group.
